How to use Tap to Pay on Android
Diana Muresan
In recent years, mobile payment technologies have revolutionized the way we conduct financial transactions. One of the most popular and convenient payment methods is “Tap to Pay,” a contactless payment option that enables your clients to pay for the services you provide simply by tapping their mobile devices on your phone.
How does Tap to Pay work
Tap to pay is not available by default on Android, that’s why you need a third-party payment platform. With Goldie’s Stripe integration, you will be able to take secure payments in person easily.
At checkout, your clients will be able to pay with their contactless card or directly with their digital wallet via the device’s NFC system. This payment method is 100% secure and encrypted.
Who can use the Tap to Pay feature
Tap to Pay on Android makes accepting contactless payments safe and private. In addition, your business and customer data is protected thanks to the built-in security features of your device.
This exclusive payment method is available to Goldie users who have activated payments and are located in the US and other countries. Also, their device must:
- Run Android 9 or higher version
- Contain functioning NFC antenna and chipset
- Not be rooted and device bootloader is locked and unchanged
- Leverage Google Mobile Services
- Have a hardware backed keystone.
