About the role
As part of the mobile team, you will work alongside engineering and product leaders who have a track record for building successful products. You will have the opportunity to work on a software that helps entrepreneurs in beauty, fitness, wellness, and other industries all over the globe to grow their business with ease and consistency. You will tackle meaningful problems in mobile, and support the delivery of quality code.
We are looking for someone who has a passion for programming, attention to detail, problem solving skills, communication skills, excellent English knowledge and a team player spirit among other skills.
Core responsibilities
- Craft well-designed and robust code that follows our commitment to product quality and best practices
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering Leaders to guide meaningful decisions about upcoming features. Bring a product perspective to engineering problems
- Architect and build new features for reuse, working with server-side teams to develop alignment on API designs and clean architecture
- Support roadmap planning via engineering insights and cost estimations
- Monitor performance of live app and, if needed, optimize it
Core requirements
- 3+ years of professional software development experience and mobile application development as an Android developer using Kotlin
- Experience with Room database, Dependency Injection and Jetpack Compose
- Strong knowledge of Android X, MVVM pattern, and best practices
- Strong knowledge with Android UI design principles (UI/UX), patterns, and best practices
- Experience developing, testing, and shipping production-quality software
- Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Knowledge of Git repositories
- Experience working with teams in a collaborative and productive manner
- The ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
- Proactive approach, curiosity, willingness to learn
- Ability to work alone alongside with a team player spirit
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced English skills (verbal and written)
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar degree
- Experience with adjacent mobile technologies and platforms like React Native and/or iOS
- Knowledge of Firebase Services, subscriptions and/or in-app purchases
- Understanding of Google’s Android Material Design principles
- Familiarity with server-side development to enable faster alignment on API designs and related discussions
- Familiarity with analytics and experience working with products from a user data insights perspective
